The Washing and Grading Process

Stored potatoes are washed into flumes by water.  This floats them down channels into the wash line in the packaging facility.  Potatoes are then flushed into a washing pit to soak.  They then go through a washer where they are scrubbed and rinsed to ensure a clean potato.

Potatoes are graded for defects in size, shape and color.  We take pride in our reputation for high quality and have a strict grading policy to ensure the highest quality possible.

Potatoes are then mechanically sized and separated into A's, B's, C's and premiums before they move on to the packaging plant.
